IELTS Preparation - 36 Weeks

CRICOS Course Code: 117141D

Course Overview
The purpose of the IELTS Preparation course is to provide students with the skills required to achieve a high score in the IELTS test. These skills include skimming, scanning, listening to lectures and conversation for gist and finer details, paragraph writing, essay writing, letter writing, speaking about familiar and unfamiliar topics, providing an opinion etc.

The course is structured for students to study the 4 macro skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking every week. However, every week there is a focus on 1 macro skill, which will be studied in greater detail and will be assessed via a formative assessment tool and a summative assessment tool.

Students will receive personalised ongoing feedback on their performance and will be provided strategies and tips on how to further improve. The course provides opportunity for students to learn, make errors, receive feedback and engage in authentic, functional and practical lessons. The course prepares students to sit the actual IELTS test and an approved testing centre, after completing the course.

The IELTS Preparation course is delivered over 3 levels (Intermediate, Upper Intermediate and Advanced) with each level spanning over 10 weeks. Students can only commence on any Monday and upon arrival, all students are tested and placed in their appropriate level for optimum learning.
